Hair Fun

Hello everyone. I hope you have all been having a very busy
craft time. I know I have been. I have done some DT work
this week for Scraptopia. This layout is one of the design I
have done. I hope you like it.

When choosing how I was going to do this design I got my insperation
from the Kraft it up blog July challenge. The challenge was to use a
different style to what you normally would. Well lady's a challenge is
what it is "A Challenge". I thought it would be easy. I thought yes I can
do this, how easy to have lots of blank space. To keep it clean and simple.

Well my mind keep going to the bling. I just wanted to put a bit of this and
a bit of that on it. I had lots of papers out and kept thinking but I can use
that, that will go with that.

Well it was a challenge and I did it. I'm happy with the result too. It was fun
to step out of my normal line of thinking and to create something different.

These photos are of my gorgeous son Riley and my mother on a trip
(1st for Riley) to the hairdresser. He sat on my knee to have his hair cut
and to add a little fun to it the colored hair wax was brought out. My
family like to have a laugh so we then had the hairdresser do grandma too.

The spray I have used is Black Smooch Spritz and I have also used
a paper doily. The letters are American Thickers - Black Marquise.
The papers are Basic Grey - Inspire and Recess.
The card stock is white Kaiser Craft. The other Kaiser Craft products I
have used are from The Secret Admirer quotes sticker sheet and the 75c
sticker sheet.

So this is my CAS layout for the Kraft it up challenge. Hope you have
enjoyed it. Happy scrap and crafting.

Special Moments

Hello everyone. My turn to post again at Scrapbookit seems to have come
around fast this time.  But I loved these papers so I was ready.
The weeks seem to be getting away from me. Also I have one thing on my mind
at the moment...... Scrapbookit Retreat - October 25th -27th
Places are filling fast so don't forget to let Joanne know if you are going. It would
be so sad if you missed out on an awesome time.
Now back to my layout. This Photo is of my girlfriends beautiful daughter Meghan.
Having only boys I just love to scrap photos of her. It is so much fun going girly and
the Scrapbookit store has everything I could possibly need to do this.

The papers I have used on this LO are still from the same kit as my last two LO.
They are from the Echo Park - A Perfect Summer collection Kit.  The light blue
cardstock is from Kaiser Craft. The heart, flourish and bird cage are also from
Kaiser Craft and I have used one of my Copic pens to color them. For my title I
have used Thickers.

The white A4 embossed card in the back ground is just beautiful and you can get
them from the Scrapbookit store already to go. It is a great way to get embossed
card if you don't have that particular design or are unable to do embossing. Like
always if you don't see it in the store just email Jo. She has hundreds and hundreds
of different items and it is so hard to list them all.
The birds and butterfly's are stamped with Kaiser Craft stamps onto cardstock and
I cut them out. I then used dimension tabs to place them on the layout. I have used
Kaiser Craft ink to ink around the edge of some of my papers. To know you is to
Love you is a Kaiser Craft rub-on.

These beautiful flowers are no other than Manor House and I just love that Jo
stocks therm. They are truly beautiful and go on any design. it doesn't matter
it is a layout, card or off the page.
The chippie behind the flowers is from Twiddleybitz. I painted it with Kaiser
cream paint and when it was dry I used Aleene's Tacky Glue on it and sprinkled
Flower Soft over it. For the stem I used Christmas green and the leaves Heather.
This is my very first attempt at using flower soft and I just loved how it come up.

Now ladies, don't forget for everything on our layouts you are able to do
a one stop shop at the Scrapbookit On-line Store at the top of the blog.
Then watch the mail. Simple as and you don't even have to leave the scrap
desk except to check the mail. I love it.
Until my next post, Happy Crafting

WooHoo I win Challenge at Njoyful

Njoyful is a color of nature challenge. Narelle each month puts up a
beautiful photo and all you have to do is follow the color from it and
a few other requirements. it is so much fun. The photo below it the one
for this LO.

Yay I now get to go shopping at Njoyful. So bye for now...
money to spend :) :)

Memories

This is a layout of my Grandparent. As you can guess they were both
quite young. It is so hard to get a good quality photo when they are as
old as this. It is one of the better quality I have of them though.

This design team layout is one of my position at Scraptopia. You can
find Kylie on Facebook. The beautiful pansy's on this layout are from
a Scraptopia 3D sheet. Most off us use them on cards but as you can
see they are also awesome for on layouts and Kylie has hundreds and
hundreds of designs to choose from.

As you can see there is some fussy cutting but I love doing that.
This LO is a mix of products. I used a little from this and a little from
that. It just shows how lovely a layout can look with leftovers and just
simply mixing.

The products I used are,  Kaiser Crafts - After five collection, Miss Empire
sticker sheet and collectables, 6 1/2" paper pad-Miss Match, 6 1/2" paper pad-
These Days. I have used Stampin' Up - Cherry Cobbler for inking around the
edge of some of my tags and also my Graphic 45 paper from the Secret Garden
collection. I also used Thickers and Hunter Lester - Leaf embellishments.

I have entered this LO in the challenge at Anything Goes Challenge Blog
and also in the challenge at Berry 71 Bleu which this month is also an
anything goes challenge

I hope you have enjoyed the close ups and to also see what you can do
with 3D sheets. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the wee ahead. For me
it is a busy one with work and the boys back at school and training.

Happy crafting Hugs all..

Summer Memories

Hello again everyone. I hope you have all been spending some fun
time crafting over the last month. I have been hehe. The  house works
knows it too I'm afraid to say.

I have done this layout for my DT work at Scrapbookit. It is from the
same kit as my last post for the Scrapbookit challenge for this month.

The kit is from the Echo Park range - A Perfect Summer and the
card stock and Clock stencil are both from Kaiser Craft. All of which
are available at the Scrapbookit on-line store.

My little flags were made from the element sticker sheet and I have
stuck them to tooth picks. The white pattern on the card stock is a 6x6
template - Mini Tile Texture and I used modelling paste. On the blue
card stock I have used a 12x12 template - Damask from Kaiser Craft.

I have taken this closeup so you can see how I have done my inking around
the edges. I think this helps to make each piece stand out while at the same
time keeping the cluster effect. This range was great  for summer being bright
and cheerful. For me though the added bonus is my son Harley is a very
colorful boy.  He loves the summer and being at the beach. It is so nice to see
him digging a hole and go back and forth to the water filling his little bucket.

Until my next post I hope all those who have been feeling the cold and getting
the rain like me enjoy using it as an excuse to keep crafting out of the elements.

3D Cards For Different Occasions

I love making 3D cards as the designer for Scraptopia (On facebook)
Kylie has hundreds of designs to choose from. I think I like doing them
so much because I also love to fussy cut on my scraping.

These are just a couple of my latest and I hope in the next few days I will
have a LO done with some 3D flowers on it. They are a great way to make
but look awesome on layouts too. Occasions

These three cards are just the tip of what Kylie has, but they are three
I love very much.

Summer

Hello Everyone,
I have just posted my latest LO for Scrapbookit. This months LO is
a recipe which was chosen by my fellow designer Ruby.
1 x Photo (any size)
2 x Paint colours
3 x Ribbons
4 x Circles
5 x Buttons

It was an easy and fun challenge which you still have time to
go into with a chance to win a great prize. Pop over to the blog
and leave us a message. Let us know what you think of our designs
as we would love to here from you. Check out the store and join in
fun with us.

This is my take on the recipe and yay for me I did do all the 5
requirements. I hope you like it.

This is my girlfriends daughter Hayley on a trip to the beach at Lorne with
my family. As you can see it was a great day, very hot and sunny.
My boys and Hayley had a great time swimming, body boarding and of
course making the ever enjoyable sand castles.

I was so lucky with this challenge to be using the Echo Park range- A Perfect
Summer - Kit. What an awesome range they are for doing summer layouts.
The kit contains 12 12x12 double sided papers, a 12x12 element sticker
sheet and a 12x12 alphabet sticker sheet.
Kaiser Craft card stock, stencil and paint along with buttons and ribbon and
a black maker pen are the other things I have used on my layout. Everything is
available at the Scrapbookit  store. Don't forget though if you don't see it just
email Joanne and she will help you out.

I have used my journal pen to go around the edge of the clouds, sun and
banner,  just to make them stand out a little more. I have also used it to do
some stitching around my circles.

I have been very busy over the last couple of weeks so please call back. I will
have something new in the next couple of days.

Hugs to all and happy crafting. XX
